Research & Policy Analyst
Maya Watson is a Research and Policy Analyst at the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC). Prior to joining ICTC, Maya worked at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute in Toronto, supporting studies on healthcare technology; at the European Cyclists’ Federation in Brussels, researching active transit and sustainable mobility; and at the United Nations Secretariat to the Convention on Biological Diversity in Montreal, helping deliver stakeholder workshops and public consultations. With ICTC, Maya applies her interest in ethics, communications technology, and the environment to diverse projects including smart cities, agricultural technology, and health technology. Maya holds a Master’s of Professional Communication from Ryerson University and a Bachelor’s of Contemporary Studies and English with Honours from the University of King’s College. She is also pursuing two certificates that reflect her diverse interests: Applied Geography and GIS; and Economics.
