Chris Herron

Research Analyst

Chris is a Research Analyst at the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC). Chris graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia in 2019. His coursework focused on general economic theory, international trade, international finance, market structure, and strategic behaviour. While at UBC, Chris completed two co-op terms with the federal government and two with private sector organizations.

Chris has shown himself adept at working with primary and secondary research, and particularly enjoys engaging stakeholders in Canada’s digital economy. In the last year he has been a major contributor to ICTC reports on a wide range of topics including cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Additive Manufacturing, Smart Transportation, Intelligent Retail, Digital competitiveness, and Canada-EU trade in the ICT sector.

Chris loves staying connected to developments in the digital economy and helping create policy recommendations to keep Canada ahead of the competition. In a field as fast-moving as ICT, there are always new things to learn.
